The field included all the great regulars of ODS plus Sterling Marlin, Mike Skinner, Johnny Benson, Andy Lally, Max Papis, Ron Hornaday and Curtis Markham.July 20th - AJF has teamed up with Roger Harris Racing for the 2nd annual Joe Gibbs Youth for Tomorrow 150 at Old Dominion Speedway on July 23rd. Yup, Thats Right! AJF Racing is going NASCAR racing again. For the last 3 weeks, we have been resurrecting an old NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Late Model in order to attempt to qualify for the prestigous event. AJF Racing is a professional racing and marketing team comprised of members from Mayola Motorsports, K&D Racing and Smith Brothers Racing.AJF Racing History:AJF Racing was formed in 1997 in Finksburg, Maryland by Andrew J. Frustaci, driver and owner of a local stock car team competing at Maryland and Pennsylvania race tracks. Andrew, a former auto cross racer and a veteran of the automotive industry, decided to form the racing organization as a result of his knowledge and interest in the stock car racing business. AJF Racing began with specializations in race car fabrication, set up and competition.Over the following years, Andrew found his business advancing rapidly and many new doors opening up. AJF Racing has successfully fielded race cars in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia race tracks, ASA, USAR Hooters Pro Cup, NASCAR Camping Worlld Truck Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series.AJF Racing continues to grow and is currently performing race car preparations, fabrication of racing related components, race car set-ups, and is consulting many teams in all aspects of auto racing.Our Mission:To compete successfully in a professional auto racing environment, to fulfill the goals of our sponsors and build the support of loyal fans.

WHAT WE DO

Local dirt late model racing is and always will be the grassroots of automobile stock car racing in America. While national series like UMP Super Dirtcar and Worldof Outlaws, tear up the dirt touring all over the United States, the majority of dirt track racing takes place in small town America at local dirt tracks.Each weekend from February to November, the most loyal of all motorsports fans gather at the local dirt tracks to watch hometown heroes race for the win. The dirt ovals that range from ¼ to ¾ of a mile in length, pack the stands with yearly attendance totals in many cases surpassing the admission numbers of national super speedways. Late model race teams compete in lightweight, purpose built, 500 plus horsepower dirt racing machines, argued by many racing fans as the most action packed level of racing in the world. Local, regional and even national sponsors are capitalizing on the appeal of the local racing experience. These sponsors see the value of participating in the least expensive form of motorsports marketing with measurable results. Companies at all levels are getting more benefit than in any other form of racing from local racers who need their support to compete on a weekly basis.AJF Racing LLC. provides these companies with a medium to gain exposure to the loyal fans through both on and off track marketing programs. Each year, AJF Racing participates in numerous, car shows, carnivals, county fairs, parades, grand openings and of course, races giving valuable exposure to sponsoring companies. AJF competes at historic racetracks such as Lincoln Speedway, Williams GroveSpeedway, Susquehanna Speedway Park, Winchester Speedway, and Potomac Speedway. Hagerstown Speedway, which is the home track of AJF Racing, is known as "“The Capital of Dirt Track Racing”" and is the most well known dirt late model track in the mid Atlantic region. The affordable, friendly,and exciting atmosphere has helped the popularity of local dirt racing grow as a favorite family weekend activity.
DRIVER

Jason Smith (The Juice) has been involved in stock car racing practically his entire life. Coming from a family that has built and raced dirt track race cars since the late 1960s, Jason began attending races at the age of 6. He spent a large part of his childhood in the garage and engine shop, learning to build race cars. Jason grew up driving go-karts, but his parents -- being educators -- didn't allow him to drive race cars until he graduated from high school.In 1994, Jason and his buddies built their first race car and competed in the Street Stock Class at Trailway Speedway in Hanover, Pa. for the final five races of the season. They finished each race in the top 20, and a racing addiction had begun.The 1995 season brought two feature wins, numerous top-five finishes and a second-place point championship finish for his first season. He won the Rookie of the Year award. In following seasons at Trailway, he earned several top-five point finishes and many other awards.In 1998, Jason switched venues to compete at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Md. He raced in the Pure Stock Division through 2001 earning many top-five finishes, several Hard Charger awards and top-10 points finishes. He funded his racing with small, local sponsorships and a part-time job while completing degrees in advertising and business management. In 2001, Jason got the chance to try his skills on an asphalt track for the first time, when a truck owner in the ARTS (All-star Racing Truck Series) offered him a ride. Jason finished in the top-five many times during the 2001 and 2002 seasons with the ARTS team.In 2003, Jason became a NASCAR licensed driver and competed in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series late model division for a limited schedule. However, under-funding and a lack of sponsorship, Jason and the team decided to return to local dirt racing where from 2004-2009 he has competed in several dirt racing divisions driving for himself and other car owners.From 2010 to present, Jason now back in front of his hometown fans, has concentrated efforts on racing a 358 Dirt Late Model. He competes at some of the east coast's premier dirt racing facilities including Hagerstown Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, Susquehanna Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway. In addition to his driving experiences, Jason also has been a crew member on a NASCAR Camping World Truck team, an ASA team and a USAR Hooters ProCup team and a NASCAR Nationwide Series team.Jason "The Juice" is a proud member of "The Pit Crew" on the award winning CBS Sports radio show "In The Pits" produced by Performance Motorsports Marketing and broadcasted on 1067 The Fan in Washington DC on Saturday mornings 8am to 9am EST. Andrew Frustaci Andrew Frustaci is the team manager and the founder of AJF Racing. Andrew started the race organization in 1997 as driver and car owner of a stock car team competing at local area race tracks.Growing up, Andrew’s technical abilities pushed his interest into motorsports and from a young age Andrew not only attended many auto racing events as a fan but began building performance cars and driving competitively.Starting with building performance cars for the street, he eventually found himself competing at Auto Cross events in the mid- Atlantic area over a period of four years. With his success behind the wheel, Andrew sought out a more exciting and competitive way to chase his passion and in 1997 he built several stock cars from ground up to compete at Hagerstown Speedway.After several successful years of running his own stock car team, in 2000 Andrew’s talents were recognized through a job offer by the Maryland-based ATI Performance. Andrew served as Car Chief, overseeing the ATI Performance No.09 American Speed Association stock car team for driver J.C. Beattie.Following Andrew’s reorganization of the 09 team, he realized his need to further build on his own racing venture. In 2001 Andrew and fellow Hagerstown competitor Jason Smith combined forces to take their racing to the next level.Andrew, as team owner, and Jason, as driver, began competing in the American Race Truck Series, a regional asphalt touring series. Simultaneously, Jason and Andrew were working on NASCAR Camping World Trucks, NASCAR Nationwide Series, Hooters ProCup, and American Speed Association race teams.In 2003, Andrew took AJF Racing to its long-term goal of competing in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series where their talents were shown in the Latemodel Stock Car racing division competing at mid-Atlantic and national speedways.Andrew assists with the operation of AJF Racing LLC and handles a major portion of Design, Fabrication and Setups as well as assisting in Marketing and Public Relations. In addition to his racing credentials, Andrew has over 25 years of automotive industry management experience and is qualified with an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Body Repair Certification.

James Kirby James Kirby is an integral part of the AJF Racing team. As the man behind the wrenches, James prides himself in knowing, maintaining and improving every inch of the AJF race cars and all related equipment.James joined the team in early 2001. With a history of auto racing in the Kirby family, he has been around stock car racing nearly all his life. James brings his vast knowledge of automotive repair to overlook the work performed in the race shop. As an ASE Master Auto Technician and licensed Maryland State Vehicle Safety Inspector with 12 years industry experience, James has several areas of expertise that have earned him the AJF Racing "Car Chief" title.These specialties include chassis and drive-train set-up, exhaust fabrication and electronics. With numerous hours of Auto technical training at Catonsville Community College, Kirby is the quick thinking mechanical problem solver of AJF Racing.In addition to all of his certifications James was a dirt stock car crewmember in 1994 before becoming a team owner from the years of 1995 to 1997, making him a huge asset to the AJF Racing team.

Don Haas Don Haas began service with AJF Racing in early 2003. After numerous conversations with driver Jason Smith about racing, and after showing Smith his scrapbooks of stock car racing action photos, Don joined the team.Initially Don's involvement was to be mainly providing photographic services. However, his interest in automobiles and racing has led him to more hands on duties by working with Car Chief James Kirby and the rest of the AJF Racing team. Don has enjoyed driving go-karts for many years and has also taken part in driving the Monster Mile at Dover in a NASCAR Sprint Cup style racecar.While his formal background includes a degree from Western Maryland College and years of banking and insurance work, his interest in photography, stock cars and driving go-karts led him to AJF Racing.
